May has arrived and brought with it glorious spring blooms, lovely weather after months of an arduous winter for much of the country, plus plenty of time to read. Just knowing May has arrived puts me in a good mood. Do you recall the song “The Merry Month of May“?  I’ve been humming the tune while I take my many walks as I welcome May! Each unfolding chartreuse leaf pressing through the bark of our oak tree and lavender blossom on our neighbor’s azalea is a delight. Not to mention the return of a myriad of migrating birds, zealously building nests. Spring is in the air!

This month makes me want to visit Yoder’s Nursery, a fictional combination of my favorite plant nurseries across the nation, in hopes of running into the characters I created for Starting from Scratch and sampling Eva’s tasty treats.

The hummingbirds are out and about, another reason to enjoy the month of May.

May euphoria is a good enough excuse for a ten-signed book Giveaway, don’t you think? Good luck to all those who enter to win a signed copy of Starting from Scratch! US and Canada only. Winners will be announced in one week and have three days to respond.
