Is the living easy in the summertime as the well-known song states? Â Is summer your favorite time of year or have you just about had it with the heat and have a case of the summertime blues?
Are you ready for autumn, which I admit is my favorite time of year? Love those changing leaves, but where I live rain accompanies it. We could use a good dowsing of rain (did I say that?) but once the clouds move in I know I’ll be complaining.

Because I have worked with children during the summer when it gets really hot we can’t take them out to play. That is really hard on them and the teachers.
That sounds hard, Angie. Worse than spring fever, when the kids (and teachers) are counting down the days until summer vacation, if they get one. Thanks for entering the giveaway and good luck!

My favorite part of summer is the extension of daylight and warmth of the sun. I remember as a child staying out past dark just long enough to collect fireflies in a mason jar, warm grass and earth underfoot to hold me in summertime’s awesome embrace of longer days and shorter nights. The smell of sun and pool water clinging to me like a calling card. And Avon Skin so Soft, because where I live is full of old people selling Avon and mosquitoes selling disease.
I remember catching fire flies too and miss them, Bethany! I love your descriptions. You capture all the senses. Are you sure you’re not a writer? Good luck in the giveaway!

I do love summer and was so anxious for it to finally arrive, after the L.O.N.G. wet & soggy winter. Seemed we by-passed Spring (my favorite) this year, and summer arrived instead.
